Two months after making its official debut, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is available for pre-order in the U.S.
Verizon is now taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S10 5G, with unit arriving in stores and in customers' hands on May 16th. Pricing starts at $54.16 per month for 24 months or $1,299.99 full retail for the 256GB model and goes up to $58.33 per month for 24 months or $1,399.99 full retail for the more capacious 512GB version.
Customers who pre-order a Galaxy S10 5G can get a free Samsung VIP kit with their new phone. This bundle includes a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds truly wireless earbuds, a wireless charging battery pack, and a water bottle.
Verizon is also offering a couple of deals to help take a bit of the sting out of the Galaxy S10 5G's price. New and existing customers can trade in an eligible smartphone and get up to $450 off via monthly bill credits, and folks who switch to Verizon can get an additional $200 in the form of a prepaid Mastercard card when they move to Verizon, buy a Galaxy S10 5G, and sign up for a Verizon Unlimited plan.
Verizon charges an extra $10 per month for access to its 5G network, and you must be on an Above Unlimited or Beyond Unlimited plan to get 5G access. Verizon says that it will waive that $10 fee for a limited time, though.
In other Verizon 5G news, the carrier today announced 20 cities that'll get its mobile 5G network in 2019. They are: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Washington D.C. Verizon 5G launched in parts of Chicago and Minneapolis earlier this year.
