Amazon is now selling the AirPods 2 at a discount. This deal is on the new version of the AirPods that launched last month, but it's worth noting that this discount applies to the model with the regular charging case, not the wireless charging version.

The AirPods 2 offer a few improvements over the original AirPods. "Hey Siri" support lets you activate Apple's voice assistant using just your voice so that you can change songs, make a call, and do other things using just your voice. The new Apple H1 chip in the AirPods 2 will get you up to 50 percent more talk time than the original AirPods and also let you switch connections between an iPhone, Apple Watch, or Mac up to two times faster.

While they do include some Apple-specific features, the AirPods 2 also function perfectly fine as a pair of truly wireless Bluetooth earbuds. So while Android smartphone users won't get quite the same level of functionality as iPhone owners, folks that prefer Android can still jump on this deal if they're interested in giving AirPods a try.
