There's lots of Android Pie goodness going out before the weekend.
AT&T and T-Mobile are now updating their Galaxy S8 and S8+ models to Android Pie, and AT&T is also updating its Galaxy Note 8 to Pie. Several users on Reddit have already received their updates, of if you've got one of these phones, you should be getting a slice of Pie soon if you haven't already.
The update to Android Pie for Samsung phones is a big one because it also brings Samsung's new One UI user interface. Two of the major new features of One UI are a night mode and a tweaked UI that moves interactive elements closer to the bottom of the screen, making one-handed use easier.
These updates also include the March 1, 2019 Android security patches.
While there's a lot of focus right now on Android Q and the new features it'll bring, there are still lots of devices out there waiting for their Android Pie update. It's good to see AT&T and T-Mobile pushing Pie to their Galaxy S8 and Note 8 models, crossing more models off the Android Pie waitlist.
