Another major device is now receiving its Android Pie update.
T-Mobile today confirmed that its Galaxy Note 8 is receiving an update to Android 9.0. The update is rolling out today, April 5th, and it weighs in at 1709.8MB. You T-Mo Galaxy Note 8 owners should be on the lookout for an update to version N950USQU5DSC1.
This update includes a bump to Android 9.0 Pie as well as Samsung's new One UI. Included in One UI are features like an updated look and a Night Mode, which will make using your phone easier on your eyes at night and could help save a little battery life, too. Samsung has also improved reachability with One UI, moving interactive elements closer to the bottom of the screen so that you can more easily use one hand to perform tasks.
T-Mobile says that this update also includes unspecified "bug fixes and system improvements".
If you've got a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8, you should see this update roll out to your phone in the coming days. You can also check for it manually by going into Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.
