Fast charging technology is nothing new, with several companies offering their own versions of fast charge tech. Now Xiaomi has teased the speediest fast charging tech for phones that we've ever seen.
Xiaomi president Lin Bin today posted a video that shows a Xiaomi phone with 100W fast charging support. In the sped up video, we can see the phone rapidly recharging, and its 4000mAh battery is filled from 0 to 100 percent in just 17 minutes. In the same time, an Oppo phone with a 3700mAh battery and 50W fast charging reaches a 65 percent charge.
There's no question that this is pretty impressive stuff from Xiaomi, and we want it in our phones yesterday. Xiaomi isn't saying much about its 100W fast charging, but Lu Weibing, general manager of Xiaomi's Redmi brand, has said that Redmi will be the first to mass produce the technology. For now we'll just have to wait and watch this teaser video on repeat.
