In addition to the flagship P30 Pro and P30 smartphones, Huawei today introduced a few new wearable devices.
First up is a pair of smart glasses that Huawei is working on with Gentle Monster, a luxury eyewear company. The Huawei X Gentle Monster Eyewear let you answer calls by tapping the temple of the glasses and then using their dual microphones and speakers. A voice assistant is included as well.

Because you're going to be wearing these smart glasses outdoors, Huawei and Gentle Monster have made them IP67 water and dust resistant. The glasses can be charged via a USB-C port or using a glasses case that holds a 2200mAh battery.
There's no word yet on how much the Huawei X Gentle Monster Eyewear might cost, but they're expected to launch in June or July 2019.
Huawei also announced two new versions of its Watch GT smartwatch today. The Huawei Watch GT Active (above left) and Elegant (above right) are now official, and there are a few differences between the two models that you should be aware of. The Huawei Watch GT Active boasts a 1.39-inch 454x454 AMOLED screen and a 46mm case, while the Huawei Watch GT Elegant has a 1.2-inch 390x390 AMOLED screen and smaller 42mm case. Both watch cases are made of stainless steel.
In terms of battery life, the Huawei Watch GT Active offers up to 14 days of typical use, while the smaller Huawei Watch GT Elegant is expected to get up to 7 days of typical use. Both models include GPS, an optical heart rate sensor, QuickFit straps to let you quickly change your watch band without tools, and 5ATM water resistance. Both models also run Huawei's custom LiteOS and are compatible with Android and iOS smartphones.
The Huawei Watch GT Elegant will cost €229 EUR ($258 USD) while the Huawei Watch GT Active will be slightly pricier at €249 EUR ($281 USD).
Today's announcements also included the Huawei FreeLace wireless earbuds. Available in four color options, Huawei touts that the FreeLace earbuds offer 9.2mm dynamic driver units to enlarge the sound field. The cable holding the two earbuds together is flat to help fight tangles, and the 'buds are IPX5-rated for water resistance.
Huawei has also included wind noise reduction to help your phone calls sound better. A magnet included in each earbud will let you clip them together to end your Bluetooth connection and save battery life, then unclip them to resume playback. The Huawei FreeLace earbuds offer 18 hours of battery life on a single charge, and there's a USB-C cable built in to the remote that'll let you get four hours of playback in five minutes of charging. You can even plug the headphones into a Huawei phone running EMUI 9.1 or later to recharge the FreeLace earbuds.
The Huawei FreeLace wireless earbuds will sell for €99 EUR ($112 USD).
