Android Pie continues its rollout to the Galaxy Note 9 today, hitting two more versions of Samsung's flagship phablet.
Both the U.S. unlocked and Verizon versions of the Galaxy Note 9 are now being updated to Android 9.0 Pie. Owners of the unlocked Note 9 on both Samsung's official forums and Reddit have begun receiving their Pie update, which is 1671.64MB and is version N960U1UEU1CSB3.
Meanwhile, Verizon has confirmed that it's now updating its Note 9 to Android 9.0 Pie as well. The update is software version PPR1.180610.011.N960USQU1CSB3.
Both updates include Android Pie and Samsung's new One UI. This updated user interface shifts many interactive elements to the lower part of the screen to make them easier to reach, which should be especially useful on the Note 9 and its 6.4-inch display. Also included with One UI is a dark mode. To see Samsung's One UI in action, check out our hands-on video right here.
These Android Pie updates bring newer security patches, too, with both Note 9 versions getting the February 1, 2019 Android security patch level.
If you've got a U.S. unlocked or Verizon Galaxy Note 9, head into your Settings app and check for your piece of Pie now.
Thanks for the tip, Michael!
