The Pixel 3 has been affected by a few different bugs that've surfaced in the weeks since Google launched its new flagship, and today we've got another to add to the list.
A bug is causing the camera on the Pixel 3 to crash for some owners when they try to take a photo with anything other than the Camera app. When the bug strikes, it causes the camera to stop working until the phone is restarted. BuzzFeed encountered the bug in apps like Instagram, Twitter, and Google Authenticator, and several users in Google's Pixel User Community have run into the issue, too.
Google has responded to the bug and says that it's got a fix coming. "We've looked into reports of this issue and have identified a fix that will roll out in the coming weeks," the company said.
The camera is one of the best features of the Pixel 3, so it's disappointing to hear that there's a major bug like this that affects it. Sure, you could only take photos with the main Camera app to avoid the bug, but that could become a pain with popular photo-centric apps like Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook. Hopefully Google is able to get a fix for this bug out soon.
