Amazon confirmed earlier this month that it'd reached an agreement with Apple to sell the Cupertino company's new products, and now those devices have begun hitting Amazon's digital shelves.
Many of Apple's products are now available on Amazon. This includes the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models as well as the Apple Watch Series 4 in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Apple computers are being sold by Amazon, too, including the new MacBook Air and Mac Mini models, the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, the iMac, and the iMac Pro.
Several Apple accessories are now being sold by Amazon as well. There are Apple Watch bands, the Apple Pencil, Beats headphones, and Apple TV.
As part of Apple and Amazon's agreement, only Apple-authorized resellers will be allowed to sell Apple and Beats products on Amazon. Independent sellers who sell new and used Apple gear on Amazon will have their listings removed after January 4, 2019, and they'll have to apply with Apple to become an authorized reseller if they want to continue selling on Amazon.
While Apple products have been sold on Amazon's marketplace for awhile now, typically those devices were actually being sold by third-parties and not Amazon directly. Not only could this result in the products being sold in varying conditions and price points, it could also lead to some people getting fake Apple products. With this agreement between Apple and Amazon, consumers are getting another way to buy genuine Apple products at their normal prices, and having more options when it comes to buying something is always good.
