Two more phones are being updated to Android 9 Pie.
Sony is now pushing an Android 9 Pie update to the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact. The update comines in at 1059MB and is version 52.0.A.3.27. Included in the update an updated Camera app that Sony says is "simple" and "streamlined". Features like Bokeh and Slow motion are in the "Menu" section, while Brightness, Camera settings, and more are easier to access on-screen.
Also included in the Android 9 Pie update are features like Adaptive Battery, which can learn which apps you don't use often and stop them from draining too much battery in the background. There's also the ability to quickly edit a screenshot after you take one using the Edit menu that'll pop up. Sony has included the October 1, 2018 Android security patches in this update as well.
The Android 9 Pie update for the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact is now rolling out over the air, so if you've got one of those phones, keep an eye out for it.
