After adding polls to Stories in 2017, Instagram is now rolling out a new style of poll.
Instagram Stories now offers an emoji slider sticker. With it, you can add a question and then choose the emoji that you want to be included in your poll. People viewing your Story can then slide the emoji left or right to respond to your question and see it animate as they make their decision.
This feature is now rolling out to Instagram, so if you'd like to check it out, load up the app and start a poll in your Story.
The emoji slider might seem silly, but it helps to give some more depth and context to Instagram's polling feature. Now polls can better ask how someone feels about something rather than a one-or-the-other type of question, and the person making the poll can select the perfect emoji to add more context to your question.
