There aren't any official details about the BlackBerry KEY2, but if it is indeed a successor the KEYone, it's possible that it'll offer a similar candybar form factor with a touch screen up top and a physical QWERTY keyboard below it.
Recently leaked images suggest that the KEY2 will indeed have a KEYone-style design, but with a few notable changes. Those include abandoning the key frets found on the KEYone as well as a keyboard that's flatter and matte. It's also rumored that the KEY2 will gain a dual rear camera setup.
We're right about a year out from the launch of the BlackBerry KEYone, so the timing for a follow-up is right. Smartphones with physical keyboards are still very few and far-between, so it's good to see BlackBerry and TCL keeping the hardware QWERTY alive for folks that like it.
Are you looking forward to the BlackBerry KEY2?
