An updated version of its Stories feature isn't the only new thing that Instagram is rolling out today.
Instagram has launched a tool that'll let you download your data from the service. This includes your photos, videos, archives Stories, profile, info, comments, and non-disappearing messages. Do note that it can take up to 48 hours for your download link to appear in your email.
Instagram has confirmed that this data download tool is now rolling out to everyone on the web. Access for Android and iOS users is still rolling out.
The main purpose of this tool is to help Instagram comply with the European Union's GDPR privacy law, which goes into effect next month. It's a handy tool for any Instagram user, though, because it means that you can easily get access to all of your photos, videos, and other content if you decide to leave the service.
