Hot on the heels of the rollout of the first Android P Developer Preview, Google has shared its release timeline for the next major Android update.
Google has scheduled the final Android P release for Q3 2018. There will be five developer previews offered before then, with DP2 scheduled for early May, DP3 with final APIs in early June, DP4 in late June, and DP5 in late July.
The third quarter runs from July 1 through September 30, so if Android P Developer Preview 5 is expected sometime around late July, then we could see the final Android P release sometime in August or September. Before then, Google will continue to improve Android P and get it ready for public consumption while helping developers prepare their apps for the final Android P rollout.
