The Moto E line of smartphones have become very popular for being affordable, solid devices for budget-conscious shoppers. Today images that may show the next Moto E device have leaked.
One notable feature of this alleged Moto E5 is its rear fingerprint reader. Not only has the fingerprint reader been moved from the front of the Moto E4 to the rear, but this rear fingerprint reader has the Motorola logo printed on top of it. The Motorola name is below the E5's screen where the E4's fingerprint reader was placed.
Spec details for this Moto E5 are light, but we can see front and rear cameras that appear to each have their own LED flashes. It also looks like this Moto E5 has a microUSB port for charging rather than a USB-C port like many other recent Android releases.
Previous Moto E phones have launched with affordable price tags, and so it's likely that the Moto E5 will as well. It's unclear exactly how much it might cost, but the Moto E4 was priced at $129.99 at launch, so we could see the E5 land at around the same price.
