Last year, Twitter revealed that it would be killing off Vine, the service that had become popular for sharing six-second looping videos. Now it looks like Vine may be making a return.
Vine co-founder Dom Hoffman today teased a "v2" logo on Twitter that looks a lot like the original Vine logo, using a similar font and colors. Hoffman said last month that he planned to work on "a follow-up to Vine" that he would fund himself.
i'm funding it myself as an outside project, so it doesn't interfere with the (quite exciting) work we're doing at the company, which is my first priority

No other details about v2 have been shared, so it's unclear if it'll be a service similar to Vine or what. While Vine never became as popular as services like Instagram or Twitter, it did have a following and there are some people who'd like to see it return since there hasn't really been anything like it since Twitter shut it down.
If you're one of the people that want to see Vine make a return, this news isn't worth getting too worked up about quite yet, but it is worth keeping an eye on.
Did you ever use Vine? Would you like to see the service make a return?
