We've seen Android Oreo make its way to a handful of smartphones so far, and now Google's latest treat it beginning to make its way to even more devices.
Android Oreo is starting to roll out to Android Wear today. That's according to Hoi Lam, a Googler who announced the news in the Android Wear Developers group on Google+. Exactly when your watch will get the update is up to its manufacturer.
As for what the update to Oreo brings to Android Wear devices, there are some goodies included. There's a notification vibration strength setting, says Lam, as well as a touch lock option for wet conditions and support for seven new countries and languages.
Other features coming with the Oreo update to Android Wear devices include notification channels and battery-saving background limits.
Because the timing of the Android Oreo update for Android Wear is up to each smartwatch manufacturer, it's unclear when any particular model will get its helping of Oreo. Still, it's good to know that the rollout begins today. If you've got an Android Wear smartwatch, be on the lookout for your update in the coming weeks and months.
