The Essential Phone originally made its debut at the end of May and was expected to ship within 30 days, but for unknown reasons, the device’s launch date was pushed back. Retailers like Amazon and Sprint began taking orders for the Essential Phone last week, and now orders of the new flagship are finally starting to go out to consumers, three months after the Essential Phone debuted.
Essential is a new company from Android co-founder Andy Rubin. It’s a flagship Android device with specs like a 5.7-inch 2560x1312 display with super slim bezels, dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a Snapdragon 835 processor. It’s one of the most hotly anticipated smartphones of 2017, and so it’s exciting to see that buyers will soon have their phone in their hands.
