Days before the Sony Xperia XZ1 is expected to make its official debut, some official-looking renders of the device have made their way online.
Images that claim to show the Sony Xperia XZ1 in black and pink color options have been leaked by Roland Quandt. The renders show a Sony Xperia-branded smartphone with what looks to be a protruding rear camera, physical camera key on the side, and some sizable bezels at the top and bottom of the display.
The Xperia XZ1’s spec list is rumored to include a 5.2-inch display, 19-megapixel rear and 12-megapixel front cameras, and a Snapdragon 835 processor. It’s also said that the Xperia XZ1 might come with Android 8.0 Oreo.

Having slim bezels is a trend in smartphone flagships now, with devices from Samsung, LG, and others all slimming down their screen bezels. It appears that Sony won’t be taking part in this trend, though, with the Xperia XZ1 boasting large bezels above and below its display like many of Sony Xperia flagships that’ve come before it. That’s kind of disappointing if true, because Sony’s Xperia design could look pretty sharp with slim bezels like the ones we’ve seen on other flagships.
What do you think of this alleged Sony Xperia XZ1 design?
