Days after HTC confirmed its Android 8.0 Oreo update plans, the company has shed a bit more light on its schedule.
HTC says that the U11 will begin receiving its Oreo update in Q4 2017. That’s a pretty broad window of time, but at least HTC U11 owners can rest easy knowing that they’ll be tasting Oreo before the end of 2017.
HTC also reaffirmed the HTC U Ultra and HTC 10 will receive Android 8.0 updates after the HTC U11. No timeframe for those updates have been given, though.
Android 8.0 Oreo brings with it several notable improvements. These include picture-in-picture, a faster boot speed, Autofill for things like logins, new and redesigned emoji, and more. HTC is sure to include some goodies of its own in its Oreo updates, too.
