Today Apple’s WWDC 2017 keynote was chock full of software news like iOS 11 and watchOS 4. But there was some hardware news in there, too, including new iPads.
Apple today revealed a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro. This new tablet is packing an updated display with a resolution of 2224x1668 and ProMotion, which will offer up to 120Hz refresh rates for smoother scrolling. The new display also offers wide color gamut and 600 nits brightness.
Powering the new iPad Pro is the Apple A10X processor, with a six-core CPU and 12-core GPU. Apple touts that the A10X offers 30 percent faster CPU performance and 40 percent faster graphics performance compared to the A9X, which is the chip found in Apple’s old 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.
Also included with the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is a 12-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, quad LED True Tone flash, wide color gamut, and 4K video capture. Around front is a 7-megapixel camera for all of your FaceTime and selfie needs.
All of these new features are also available in an updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
