Google I/O is happening next week, and an Android O Beta Program could be coming with it.
Google has revealed that it’ll launch an Android O Beta Program “soon.” The news comes from Google’s official Android Beta Program page, which has been updated to say that the Android Nougat beta is now complete.
An Android O developer preview launched back in mid-March, but that early release was meant for devs to begin trying out the new features that’ll be included with Android O. This upcoming Android O Beta Program should be more consumer-friendly as Google works out the bugs of its update before the public release later this year.
There’s no timeframe on when the Android O Beta Program will actually kick off, but it’s possible that it’ll launch at Google I/O next week or shortly thereafter. Google has said that it’ll talk about Android O at I/O next week, and so a major stage like that could be a way to reveal more info about Android O and announce the launch of the new beta program.
