Last week, we got an early peek at Amazon’s rumored Echo with built-in display. Now a new report claims that we may get to officially meet the device tomorrow.
Amazon could announce its new Echo with built-in screen as early as Tuesday, May 9, say sources speaking to the Wall Street Journal. The device features a 7-inch touchscreen, says the report, as well as support for video calling and the same clothing-focused features as the new Echo Look.
Amazon’s new Echo will reportedly cost more than $200.
We’ll have to wait until Amazon officially reveals the Echo with built-in display before we know all of the features that it’ll offer, but this device could be quite an upgrade over the regular Echo. With a display, you could more quickly read information like the time and weather, and touch could help you more quickly get to different features of the device than using your voice. The device likely won’t be cheap, but if you’re a heavy Echo user, this new device could be worth it.
