Instagram on Android is gaining a nifty new feature.
Instagram has announced that it’s adding offline support to its Android app. With this new feature, Instagram users on Android will be able to leave comments, Like posts, save media, and unfollow people while offline, and all of it will happen when an internet connection is made.
Additionally, users can view any posts previously loaded in their Instagram feed. This includes profiles that were visited and old versions of the Explore tab.
Instagram says that it’s investigating offline support for its iOS app.
Offline support is aimed at developing countries where Instagram users may not always have data, like if they’re not on a stable data connection. With this feature, Instagram could see users engage more on the service since they’ll now be able to continue viewing posts even if their connection drops.
