Nougat is continuing its rollout to existing devices this week, as several Samsung phones in the US are receiving their updates to the latest major Android release.
AT&T has announced that it’s updating its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ to Android 7.0. Both updates are pretty large, coming in at more than 1.5GB in size. The Galaxy Note 5 is moving to version N920AUCU4EQC6 while the S6 edge+ is updating to version G928AUCU4EQC6.
Included in these updates are network performance enhancements, the March 1, 2017 security patches, and more. AT&T also notes that the updates will remove the AT&T Address Book, MobiTV, and AT&T Live apps.
Verizon has confirmed that it’s also rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat updates to its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. Verizon Note 5 owners will be updating to version N920VVRU3CQB9, while Verizon S6 edge+ owners will be moving to version G928VVRU3CQB9.
Verizon Note 5 and S6 edge+ owners can expect to find the usual array of Nougat goodies once they’re done updating. That includes quick replies for responding to messages from your notification, keyboard improvements, and more.
To check your Note 5 or S6 edge+ for updates, go into Settings > About phone > Software update > Check for updates.
