The unlocked versions of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in the US may not be running Android Nougat quite yet, but Samsung is now pushing something to these devices.
Samsung is now sending security updates to the unlocked Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in the US. The former device is being updated to version G930UUES4AQC1, while the latter is being updated to G935UUES4AQC1. These updates give the unlocked GS7 and GS7 edge the March 2017 security patches.
The last security updates that the unlocked GS7 and GS7 edge got in the US was in December 2016, so it’s good to see them getting some fresh security patches. Most owners of these devices are probably getting antsy about receiving their Android Nougat update, though, especially since the carrier models of these phones have gotten their Nougat updates. Hopefully the Nougat update for the unlocked GS7 and GS7 edge in the US is close behind today’s security updates.
