One day after the Huawei P10 was fully revealed in leaked images, Huawei’s other big MWC 2017 announcement has been prematurely revealed as well.
New images of the Huawei Watch 2 have surfaced, giving us a clear look at the upcoming Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch. The Huawei Watch 2 has a round face like its predecessor, but as previously speculated, this model appears to be sportier than its predecessor.
The Huawei Watch 2 is rumored to include a 1.4-inch round display, just like the original Huawei Watch, as well as a nanoSIM card slot for LTE connectivity. We can also see connectors on the back of the watch, presumably used for charging, and two buttons on the right side of the device that’ll likely be used for app shortcuts.
There’s no word yet on when the Huawei Watch 2 will launch or how much it’ll cost when it does. However, the watch is expected to be available in a trio of colors when it is released: black, orange, and a gray with small lighter flecks of color.
We’ve seen more of a focus on fitness with smartwatches lately, with the Apple Watch Series 2 and Google’s Android Wear 2.0 update adding new features geared toward sportier activities. The Huawei Watch 2 looks like it’ll continue that trend with its rubberized band and the fact that all of the official images of the device’s screen show fitness-related apps.
