If you’re interested in Google and LG’s upcoming Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches, you’ll be happy to learn that you may get to meet them sooner than previously anticipated.
Google and LG’s announcement of the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style is now expected to happen on February 8. The watches were reportedly set to debut on February 9, but according to Evan Blass, Google and LG have decided to move the announcement up by one day.
An official launch of Android Wear 2.0 is also expected on February 8.
The LG Watch Sport is rumored to be the higher-end of these two new watches, packing features like a 1.38-inch 480x480 display, 768MB, RAM, NFC, GPS, 4G LTE, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Meanwhile, the LG Watch Style will reportedly have a smaller 1.2-inch 360x360 screen with 512MB of RAM and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
The watches seem to be the result of a Nexus-like collaboration between Google and LG. Rumors have suggested that their pricing will start at $349 for the LG Watch Sport and $249 for the LG Watch Style.
