Pokémon Go players, another notable update is now rolling out.
Pokémon Go is now being updated on Android (0.41.2) and iOS (1.11.2). The update brings a few big changes to Pokémon Go, like a new catch bonus. This bonus will give you a better chance of catching Pokémon of a certain type when you earn medals. For example, as you work toward a higher Kindler Medal by catching Fire-type Pokemon, you’ll get a bonus to increase your chances of catching future Fire-type Pokémon.
This latest update also tweaks the Gym experience. When you’re battling at a friendly Gym, you’ll be able to bring six Pokémon with you instead of one. Plus, the CP of the Pokémon you’re training against might be temporarily adjusted lower so that they better match your own Pokémon. This means that if you have lower level Pokémon and you go to a high-level Gym, you won’t immediately get wiped out.
Here’s the full changelog for this latest Pokémon Go update:
Pokémon Go may not be quite as popular as it was during its peak over the summer, but there are still plenty of people playing. This new update should help players continue to progress in the game, making it easier for them to catch new Pokémon and to help lower level players train their Pokémon at Gyms to become stronger.
Are you still playing Pokémon Go? Why or why not?
