In addition to releasing an all-new app, Google is adding some new features to one of its existing apps today.
Google Photos sharing is getting easier today. Now you can select photos, tap “Share,” and then select the people that you want to share photos with instead of selecting an app.
If you share this way, the people that are on Google Photos will get a notification that you’ve shared photos with them. If you share with people that aren’t on Google Photos, they’ll get an SMS or email with a link to the photos that you’ve shared.
With this new sharing feature, Google Photos aims to make it easier and faster to share photos and videos with others. Now you don’t have to select an app to share to or bother attaching photos to emails. Instead, you can choose people to share with and they’ll be able to view your photos just by tapping a notification or link.
Google Photos is also rolling out a new automatic creation feature that’ll make movies of your photos and videos based on creative concepts. Google put together a “They Grow Up So Fast” movie that gathers photos and videos of a child growing up.
Google Photos will gain a couple other concepts this week, and more will be added in the future.
Both of these new Google Photos features are launching today on Android, iOS, and the web.
