Google started pushing Android 7.0 to Nexus devices last month, but some users are still without their taste of Nougat. Today Google gave an update on the rollout schedule for some devices.
The Android 7.0 updates for the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE should begin “in the coming weeks,” but there’s no exact date for the rollout quite yet. That’s according to a statement from Google given to Android Police.
As with most software updates, Android 7.0 is going out in stages, and it looks like it’ll take at least a few more weeks for Nougat to hit the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE. That’s kind of a bummer, especially when other Nexus owners have been enjoying Nougat for weeks now. However, I’m sure that Google has a good reason for holding off on these updates, like fixing bugs and ensuring that performance is good, so N6 and N9 owners should try to be patient.
Have you gotten an update to Android 7.0 Nougat yet? If so, how is it treating you?
