With around a week to go before its next device reveal, HTC continues to tease its new hardware.
HTC today posted another #BeEdgier teaser to YouTube, and this one appears to show that the mystery device will have a fingerprint reader. Considering the location of the fingerprint reader in this teaser — which is in the middle of the upper half of the phone — it looks like a safe bet that HTC’s new device will have a rear fingerprint reader. HTC has also launched a landing page for its upcoming announcement.
We’ll probably have to wait until Sept. 20 before HTC will name its new device, but it’s looking increasingly likely like this will be the HTC Desire 10 Pro that recently leaked out. HTC’s first teaser showed the rear of the device, complete with a large camera, a flash below it, and some gold lines, and now we know that the device will have a rear fingerprint reader. All of those details line up with the Desire 10 Pro image that leaked in mid-August.
Whatever HTC is planning to announce, we’ll be sure to bring you all of the details following HTC’s reveal on Sept. 20.
