Back in February, Sony launched a new X series of phones that began with three models: the X, XA, and X Performance. Sony then added the XA Ultra, and now it looks like two more models will soon join the X family.
Sony’s Czech site recently posted the names of two unannounced Xperia X series phones: the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact. The listings don’t appear to be on the site anymore, but Techtastic managed to screenshot the names of both devices before they were pulled.

In addition to this leak, an image of the Xperia X Compact has leaked. Shared by Evan Blass, the render shows a device that looks a lot like a Sony Xperia phone, and it appears to have a volume rocker and physical camera button on its side.
We’ll have to wait until Sony makes its Xperia XZ and X Compact official — which could happen as soon as IFA next month — before we know everything about them, but we can make some guesses about what they are based on their names. The Xperia XZ could be a high-end phone because it’s got the “Z” in its name, which Sony used to use to designate its flagship models. Meanwhile, the Xperia X Compact could be a compact model of the Xperia X, similar to how the Xperia Z5 Compact is a smaller version of the Xperia Z5.
