After T-Mobile announced roaming in Cuba earlier this year, another major U.S. carrier has made a similar announcement.
AT&T has struck a deal with Empresa De Telecomunicaciones De Cuba (ETECSA) to offer AT&T roaming in Cuba. With this agreement in place, AT&T customers traveling to Cuba will be able to easily roam on the wireless service there and talk, text, and use data.
AT&T plans to announce Cuban roaming availability and pricing at a later date.
Improved roaming is always good to see, and so this is exciting news for AT&T customers that’ll be traveling to Cuba thanks to the improving relations between the U.S. and Cuba. Now we just have to wait for AT&T to announce the rest of its Cuba roaming details. Stay tuned.
