Months after buying Skullcandy, Incipio has agreed to acquire another one of its mobile accessory competitors.
Incipio will acquire Griffin Technology, a company known for its cases, cables, chargers, and more. The terms of the deal aren’t known, so it’s unclear how much Incipio is paying acquire Griffin.
Incipio CEO Andy Fathollahi says that acquiring Griffin “strengthens our product development and manufacturing capabilities, complements our existing product lines in rugged cases, power, and connectivity, and allows our brands to reach a broader domestic and international audience through enhanced distribution in the business-to-business, enterprise, and education verticals.”
Meanwhile, Griffin Technology CEO Paul Griffen said, “Partering with Incipio Group provides Griffin with a strong support system and improved capabilities to continue developing accessories that people love an use every day.”
Incipio is making big moves in the mobile accessory market lately, buying up some of its major competitors. It’s not often that we hear big news about mobile accessory companies, but with its deals, Incipio is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the mobile market.
