Hot on the heels of T-Mobile’s Pokémon Go announcement, Sprint has revealed an offer of its own related to the mega-popular mobile game.
Starting tomorrow, July 15, Sprint and Boost Mobile retail stores will be using lures to attract Pokémon that Pokémon Go players can capture. The stores will also offer free charging stations for players to recharge their phones as well as “on-site Pokémon Go experts” to help both beginners and advanced players with knowledge of how to play Pokémon Go as well as the locations of nearby Gyms and PokéStops.
Sprint is touting this Pokémon Go promotion as a way for newbies to learn what this Pokémon Go craze is about and for more seasoned Pokémon trainers to catch some monsters and recharge their phones. It’s also a way to get more people into Sprint and Boost Mobile stores and maybe buy some accessories or perhaps even a phone. Still, if you’re playing Pokémon Go, it might be worth your time to hit up a Sprint or Boost Mobile store or two this weekend.
