It’s official: We’ll meet the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on August 2.
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 7 will debut at an Unpacked event on August 2. The company even confirmed the “Galaxy Note 7” name and explained why it’s skipping the Galaxy Note 6. Samsung says that the Note 7 will compliment the Galaxy S7, unify its product portfolio, and minimize confusion about the latest mobile offerings from Samsung.
The Galaxy Note 7 event will kick off at 11:00 am ET on August 2. There will be events in New York, Rio De Janeiro, and London. You don’t have to go anywhere to watch the event live, though, because Samsung will be live streaming it, too.
Samsung hasn’t yet confirmed any of the actual features of the Galaxy Note 7, but the rumor mill has made plenty of suggestions as to what the next Note might feature. For example, it’s rumored that the Note 7 will offer a dual curved edge screen and a microSD slot, the latter of which was missing from the Galaxy Note 5.
Are you looking forward to the Galaxy Note 7?
