Today an image leak claimed to show the back of the iPhone 7, and now the rumor mill has churned out photos that may show another major 2016 flagship smartphone.
Images that purportedly show the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have been shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as @OnLeaks. The photos show a device with a design that looks like a Samsung Galaxy Note flagship, complete with more squarish corners than the Galaxy S7 edge as well as a physical home button with capacitive Recent Apps and Back buttons on its sides. Also worth noting is that the device in the image above appears to be in a case.
We can also see sensors on both sides of the phone’s earpiece, which includes both a front-facing camera and what may be an iris scanner, too. And then there’s the dual edge display, which would make the Note 7 a bit different from the Note 5 and its flat screen.
It’s worth noting that the devices shown in these photos are said to be prototypes, which would explain why there’s no Samsung logo on a few of them. For a peek at what the finished Galaxy Note 7 could look like, you can check out this set of leaked renders that surfaced earlier this month.
As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to include features like a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 display, 12-megapixel rear camera, and a microSD slot. It’s expected that Samsung will officially take the wraps off of its new flagship in August.
