Apparently this is the week for Windows Phone 8.1 devices to get updated to Windows 10 Mobile, because not only is Verizon updating the Lumia Icon, but AT&T has revealed that it’s updating one of its own Nokia handsets.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is now receiving an update to Windows 10 Mobile. AT&T says that the update began rolling out yesterday, June 23, so you can grab it right now if you haven’t already updated.
To move your Lumia 1520 from Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile, you’ll need to grab the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app from the Windows Store. You’ll then launch the app and check the box for Enable Windows 10 Upgrade to get the update ball rolling. The update itself weighs 750MB and bumps the Lumia 1520 to build 10.0.10586.107.
While the Lumia 1520 was a bit polarizing because of its 6-inch display, it was a flagship device for its time, boasting specs like a Snapdragon 800 processor, 20-megapixel camera, and 1080p screen. That’s why it’s good to see AT&T updating its 1520 to Windows 10 Mobile, breathing some new life into this ginormous Lumia for anyone that’s still rocking one.
