ASUS and Verizon today took the wraps off of a new Android tablet, the ZenPad Z8.
The ASUS ZenPad Z8 is now available for pre-order from Verizon for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $10.41 each. You can also get it for $149.99 with a two-year contract or $249.99 full retail. It’ll be available in Verizon stores starting June 23.
ASUS and Verizon are touting the ZenPad Z8 is a great tablet for watching sports and concerts as well as playing games. That’s because it’s got a high-res 7.9-inch 2048x1536 display with ASUS’s VisualMaster technology, which promises to increase the screen refresh rate for smoother motion. The Z8 also offers dual front-facing speakers so that the sounds of whatever you’re watching are coming right at you.
Also packed into the ZenPad Z8 are 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot for adding more storage, 2GB of RAM, a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, a 4680mAh battery, USB Type-C, and 4G LTE connectivity. It’s running Android 6.0.1 out of the box.
