After updating devices like the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, and Galaxy S5 to Android 6.0 in recent months, Verizon is now turning its attention to another Galaxy smartphone.
Verizon is now pushing Android 6.0.1 to the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. Like the updates for Samsung’s other flagships, this Note Edge update includes new designs for app icons and folders, Ultra High-Quality Audio, and Android for Work.
Also included in this update is the usual array of Marshmallow goodies like Google Now on Tap — which just got a spiffy update itself — Doze mode battery optimizations, and improved app permissions.
So yeah, this update is kind of a big deal for the Galaxy Note Edge owners on Verizon out there. If you’ve got a Note Edge that has a Verizon tattoo and you haven’t yet updated, you can check for the update manually by going into Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Updates.
