A network outage hit Cricket Wireless yesterday and lasted through today, but the prepaid operator says that service is finally being restored.
Cricket confirmed the service issues on Friday evening, but according to ZDNet, the outage began as early as 1:00 pm PT. The good news is that hours after service issues began, they appear to be clearing up. Cricket announced minutes ago that “service has been fully restored,” adding that customers may need to turn off their phones and turn them on again to regain service.
Cricket hasn’t said what caused the outage, only that its technicians “worked around the clock” to resolve it.
#CricketNation, service has been fully restored. Technicians worked around the clock to resolve the issue. We sincerely apologize.

Many people rely on their cellphone as their only means of communication, so it can be frustrating when there’s any service outage. Unfortunately for Cricket users, this issue persisted for several hours. Here’s to hoping that all of the Cricket users that’ve been affected by the outage are now starting to see service come back up.
If you’re on Cricket, did this service issue affect you?
