LG has released quite a few Android tablets over the years, and today the Life’s Good crew introduced its latest slate, the G Pad III 8.0.
The LG G Pad III 8.0 runs Android 6.0 on an 8-inch 1920x1200 display, which is an upgrade from the G Pad II 8.0’s 8-inch 1280x800 screen. The G Pad III 8.0’s cameras have been upgraded, too, coming with an 8-megapixel sensor around back and a 5-megapixel on the front.
Inside of the G Pad III 8.0 is a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 4,800mAh battery. There’s 32GB of storage built in, and you can add to that using a microSD slot if you’d like. And just like its predecessor, the G Pad III 8.0 comes with a full-size USB 2.0 port that will let you hook up a wired mouse, keyboard, or other device to your Android tablet.
LG says that the G Pad III 8.0 will be priced at 330,000 Korean Won, or around $277 USD. The Android 6.0 tablet is already available in Canada, with carriers Rogers and Fido both selling the device.
While it may not be a high-end device, the G Pad III 8.0 is an upgrade over its predecessors in most every respect. One thing that it does have in common with past G Pad 8.0 models, though, is an affordable price tag. So if you’re looking for a new tablet that’ll be easy on your wallet, the G Pad III 8.0 could be worth a look.
