We’ve already seen new hero phones from the likes of Samsung, LG, and HTC, and soon we might get one from ASUS, too.
ASUS is hosting a Zenvolution event on May 30 with some help from Intel. The event will happen in Taipei, but there will be a livestream event if you’re not able to make the trek to Taipei on short notice.
ASUS doesn’t say exactly what will be shown at its Zenvolution event, and given its range of Zen-branded products — ZenFone, ZenPad, ZenWatch, ZenBook — there are a few possibilities of what we could see there. Given how long it's been since the ZenFone 2's debut, it’s possible that a new ZenFone could be shown at this event.
Also of note is that last month, some images of the ZenFone 3 were leaked by design site Red Dot 21. They show a phone with a concentric circle design that we’ve seen on past ASUS Zen products, a protruding rear camera, and what’s likely a rear-mounted fingerprint reader below that camera.
Finally, Computex — a major electronics trade show in Taipei — is kicking off May 31, the day after ASUS’s Zenvolution event. ASUS has shown new products at Computex before and will have a booth at this year’s event, and this booth would give ASUS the opportunity to show off new products like a ZenFone 3.
