Sprint has already pushed Android 6.0 to many of its Samsung Galaxy phones, and today it can add one more device to that list.
Sprint is now updating its Samsung Galaxy S5 to Android 6.0. The update bumps the GS5 to software version G900PVPU3CPCA and includes Android 6.0, Google and Samsung security patches, and some unspecified bug fixes.
If you’ve got a Sprint Galaxy S5, you should see the update hit your phone sometime between today and May 19. The update is rolling out in phases, so it’s tough to predict when it might hit your phone. If you’re feeling impatient, you can check for it manually by going into Settings > System Update > Update now.
Sprint says that the Galaxy S5 Sport is getting an update today, too, but there’s no changelog, so it’s unclear if this update is Android 6.0, too. If you’ve got a Galaxy S5 or S5 Sport on Sprint, keep an eye out for an update that’s coming your way.
