The OnePlus One may not be the flagship of OnePlus’s lineup anymore, but that doesn’t mean that OnePlus has forgotten its first smartphone, because it’s going to get a major update soon.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has revealed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the OnePlus One is “in the final testing stage.” Pei says that he can’t get an ETA for the update because it’s rollout depends on factors that are out of OnePlus’s control, but he expects the update to arrive “very soon.”
Marshmallow for the One is in the final testing stage. Can't give ETA as it depends on other parties, but should be very soon.

OnePlus confirmed last year that the One would be getting an Android 6.0 update, but it’s exciting to hear that the One’s helping of Marshmallow is finally near. While the One is no longer OnePlus’s flagship, there are likely quite a few folks still using it, and so it’s good that OnePlus is showing its first phone some love in the form of a major update to Marshmallow. Stay tuned and we’ll be sure to let you know when the One’s Android 6.0 rollout begins.
