Ever since Instagram began letting users post videos in June 2013, the length of those clips has been limited to 15 seconds. Starting today, though, Instagram’s video length is going to grow by four times.
Instagram will now let you post videos up to 60 seconds in length. The feature is rolling out starting today on Android and iOS, and Instagram says that it’ll be available to everyone “in the coming months.” Instagram is also giving iOS users the ability to make videos out of multiple clips in your camera roll.
This is a big update to Instagram, giving creators an additional 45 seconds to get creative with the videos that they post to the service. It sounds like the 60-second video feature will take its time to hit everyone, though, so don’t be flustered if it doesn’t appear on your device today.
