Earlier this month, the OnePlus 2 received an update to OxygenOS 2.2.1, with RAW support for the OnePlus Camera app in tow. Now it looks like some OnePlus 2 owners are getting another OxygenOS update with an even bigger upgrade.
One OnePlus 2 owner has received an update to OxygenOS 3.0, which includes Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Screenshots of the update have been shared by Android Police, showing features like priority toggles for Reminders, Events, and more for the Alert slider. There are also screens that show some of OxygenOS 3.0’s wallpapers and an “About phone” screen that lists the update as including Android 6.0.1 and the March Android security patches.
OnePlus previously said that it planned to push Android 6.0 to the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One in Q1 2016, which comes to an end at the end of March. Whether or not OnePlus will be able to hit its Q1 2016 goal remains to be seen, but this soak testing for the OnePlus 2 suggests that its update is getting close. Stay tuned, OnePlus users!
