Samsung Pay is expanding again today, adding another major financial institution to its roster.
Wells Fargo is now supported in Samsung Pay, enabling Wells Fargo debit and credit card holders to make payments at terminals using their supported Samsung device. And just because you’re using your phone to pay doesn’t mean that you don’t get the protection that other Wells Fargo cardholders do, because all transactions are monitored by Wells Fargo’s risk and fraud detection systems.
Samsung Pay is supported on several Samsung Galaxy smartphones. That includes the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5, and Galaxy S6 active. And yes, the brand new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge support Samsung Pay, too.
With mobile payment services like Samsung Pay, Android Pay, and Apple Pay, one of the most important features to have is support for a wide variety of cards. After all, if your service only supports one or two financial institutions, people that have cards from other institutions won’t be able to use the service. Samsung continues to add financial institutions — like Chase and several MasterCard and Visa issuers — to Samsung Pay to make the service available to more consumers.
