Google appears to be making a small, but still notable, tweak to the Play Store.
One Android user has noticed that a new review layout has appeared in his Play Store app. As you can see in the screenshots above, you can leave a star rating and a written review all on the same screen. Below are comparison screenshots that show what the review layout is like now, popping up a dialog box that asks you for your rating and offers a single line for your written review.
This isn’t a huge change, and folks that don’t often leave app reviews may not even notice it. The tweak is a nice one, though, making for a cleaner app review experience. Unfortunately, this change doesn’t appear to be widely available yet, so it’s possible that Google is just testing it before rolling it out to everyone. For now, all of us with the old review layout will just have to wait for the change to hit our devices.
